Sperzel locking tuners on an Se

Was wondering if anyone knows if Sperzel locking tuners will fit into an SE singlecut without re- drilling holes.

Nope. You'll have to drill for the locating pin the sperzels use...

You could get Shaller M6 locking tuners instead which are a direct fit.

Those Schallers look heaps better than the Grover 406 option. I really dislike how fiddly those Grovers are, would hate to try and change a string in a hurry on a dark stage.

The Gotoh's I have employ the same locking mechanism as the Grovers, and they aren't all that great. Pretty easy to lose one of the locking "nermies".

I don't find the Grovers fiddly at all. Easy as pie to string up. The clear winner for SE guitars in my opinion.

I don't like the Schallers because they're very heavy. I also don't like the big lock wheel on the back. Can't beat Phase II for the screw down lock type, but it means drilling new screw holes.

Your could also do Hipshot tuners with the universal mount.
