So I went to play an SE SAS today and…Silver Sky…

..I almost fell for a green SE Silver Sky with a rosewood board. I plugged it into a reissue Fender Princeton and it sounded and felt great! I am thinking of going back for it tomorrow.

They couldn’t find the SAS, it was the last one in GC Tampa but they called me back later and said they had found it. I’m going to go back tomorrow and check it out but that SS was pretty dang cool and I have a few very nice Strats. The neck was really nice, I never thought I would go for that weird radius but it played great and I didn’t think about it once. Man I am totally guitarded lol.

Bring one of your Strats. Love to read how it compares.

Also play every SE Silver Sky in the place, both plugged in and unplugged.

If the green one is really the best one you'll know.

interesting. when the cores first came out i played several in one day. they were all "different"

So I ended up buying a demo SE Silver Sky from Sweetwater for a great price. My plan is to mod the crap out of it but we’ll see what it gets here if that plan holds up. The thing that got me initially was the sound of it and the neck. Hopefully this one is as good as the one I played in the store. I will post pics when it arrives. Happy pre-NGD to me!
