I am hearing really good things about PRS SE guitar at the tele site,
So I checked out some models. I believe the model is the Fredrik Akersson,
Single cut hard tail.
I all so noticed the se with the dual P-90's
Being from fenderland I have always used hum cancelling pick ups as I am a hobbist and play and recrd around coputer and other noisy gears
The application for a prs se would be for slide jplaying,
making the P-90's very sexy.
Anyone have comments on how noisy the pick ups are?
I am usng a digitech gsp 1101 with has a very effective noise gate.
Mostly I use the champ, deluxe, twin amps simulations low gain amps.
Though at times I will use the Marshall 800 or 45 for lite-grind.
I use 11's. on my lap steels and the other guitars set up for slide playing.

I skulked around checking out the site before signing up and like the friendly
Peaceful vibe see you

I couldn't comment on the pickup noise level as I have never played them. The SE stuff is hard to beat given the price point. Good luck in your search. Someone here is bound to be able to provide some better feedback on this.

You'll experience some noice when playing either pickup alone, but in the middle position, there isn't any 60 cycle hum.

Welcome to the forum!

Welcome aboard!

If you're coming from "Fenderland" you shouldn't be too upset about the noise issue and the stock SE soapbar pickups sound really nice, I really like my SE Soapbar II.

Before I brought my fenders home they had hum cancelling pick ups from dimarzio. Absolutely hum/noise free sssssshhhh ;)
