Hey everyone. I was super excited to pick up my first PRS last Friday. After spending a few hours playing the hollow and semihollow options, I went with the SE Custom 22 semihollow, in Santana yellow. It's stunning, and I've been having a bunch of fun with it.
But after checking out some pictures online, I started to notice something that is bothering me. If I look at any online retailer's photos, the pickups always seem have 3 tiny holes on either side of the first and sixth string. Reverb too.
Mine don't have that. I can't find any photos of this guitar without these holes present. This immediately got me concerned that someone pulled a fast one and threw in some knockoff pickups.
I looked up the serial number, and it appears to be from 2021. Does anyone know if the 2021 pickups do or don't have holes?
I've emailed support to get some clarity, but it says 3-5 days turnaround time, so I was hoping maybe someone here may have some insight.
