SE CE 24 Standard Satin - 2024
Originally introduced in 1988, the CE has become an essential part of the PRS line-up, offering the snap and response of bolt-on construction. The SE CE…

No kidding! (Looking at you, Fender. Seriously, I could live with Laurel boards, but no gig bags on the $850 Mexican Fenders is just silly.)Really smart move. And actual rosewood board with a nice gigbag - neither of which are a given at this price point.
And I bet it’s the same SE bag, which is really good!No kidding! (Looking at you, Fender. Seriously, I could live with Laurel boards, but no gig bags on the $850 Mexican Fenders is just silly.)
Does it play very different from a regular CE 24?Just picked one up on Wednesday. The setup is great and it really resonates! It does come with the regular SE gigbag.
They play very similarly. I prefer the looks of the regular but the ones I played needed some tweaking and didn’t resonate as well as the one I bought. The shop I bought it from had a Charcoal one and a Turquoise. I went with the Turquoise even though I liked the looks of the Charcoal better. But the Turquoise one won me over with its setup and snappy liveliness.Does it play very different from a regular CE 24?
That's crazy the SE version resonates more than the regular version that's 6x the price. I found the regular CEs to be bright sounding to my ears, but I liked the demo of the SE CE tones. Groceries cost more than this guitar. Also to note: material costs for me to make a guitar are above this price point!
Oh, sorry I misunderstood, I was referring to the SE CE 24’s. However, I did play a couple of used CE 24’s that were great but more than I wanted to spend. They were very nice but not 6 times nicer than the SE I got. That's crazy the SE version resonates more than the regular version that's 6x the price. And you don’t even eat meat, right?Groceries cost more than this guitar.
I’m not familiar with the expression “hog body”It’s a helluva great price. PRS hog body guitars usually ring and sustain for days.
