I’ve had some that sounded as-if they were cardboard construction: others that had a terrible muddy mid-range “clank” to the sound. I’ve had ‘54, ‘72, ‘96, a Reissue ‘59, and this one. The variance on these is/was terrible! I might be better off with a PRS Private Stock SingleCut Archtop, but I’d probably keep the present ES-175 anyhow. Last edited: Jan 14, 2019
