Easily done. You lose some tone options but if that doesn’t bother you, knock yourself out!

I could never get along with a rotary. I tried and tried, but it wasn't for me.

Hated the clicking sound when turning. A three way with a push pull gives you six options. I really like neck pup alone tapped - not a regular option with the rotary.
