1997 Custom 22 pickups?

I know that this topic has been addressed before, but is there a way for me to know what the pickups are on my 1997 Custom 22. The pickup cavity won't apparently tel me anything, since it only started around 2000... Any other way?

Uncovered or covered? Take an ohm reading. Look at the back of the pickups. Email PRS the serial number.

I wanna say if uncovered '97 they are still D1 and I'm sure someone else will chime in with more

Mine were dragon 1s during that era. But they were uncovered zebras.

If they are original D1s, even if they aren't your thing, they are highly coveted. You will be able to get a pretty penny for them if you decide to swap them out. I am a D2s fan myself. But value is value.
