I went through 3 Archons 3 years ago (100 watt heads) and absolutely loved the tone. Perfect amp for me. The achilles heal however was the noisy effects loop. It made the amp not useable for me. Since bonding with my MT-15 (no loop issues) I've been thinking about trying another Archon. Have all the loop issues been fixed and worked out with the newer Archons?

The loops were updated 11/2014. I had a noise issue on an earlier Archon 100 (maybe a 2013?) which was a deal breaker for me (worked fine with a regular pedal board but was noisy with my Fractal Audio FX8). Since then I had a 2017 50w and currently own a 2015 100w and both loops were quiet and worked well with my gear. You can have any amp tech update the loop, it comes down to removing one capacitor and replacing another.

I have an archon 100 from just after the fix. I have zero noises issues with the loop.

I have had zero noise issues with mine. The 100 is from 5/14 and the 25 is 4/15.
