PRS 305 Finish Change?

I have this 305 and was thinking of knocking down the shinny finish with some steel wool. Looking for opinions - am I crazy ?
just hate the glossy look - let me know

Yeah, you're crazy. It's a beautiful guitar, and you'll ruin it.

On the other hand, it's not mine, so...my opinion doesn't count.

Are you wishing only for a matte finish? Will you keep it transparent? Or thinking repainting and going satin opaque? Part of me says go wild and do a metallic satin finish!

Nope - it's the regular size bucks. Probably just a lot of them.

Satin eventually gets glossy, but in splotches.

So you’ll hate the look of some of your guitar

The full satin look only lasts if you don't play it! I think that finish looks great, personally. I say keep it as is. When playing, just close your eyes....

Sell or trade the 305 and buy the Vela.

transparent - maybe strip it down to the natural wood - did it to an old Mexican strat - came out great but that was a used $300 strat - love all the comments - thanks
