Private Stock Etched Birds... Refret

Anyone refretted a private stock with etched birds?

I just sent mine in to PTC.

I can only imagine the PTC is going take the utmost care and you need not fret about it. (see what I did there?) =)

Agreed.
I don’t think the nature of the birds will impact the job at all.

When they pull the old frets, the frets take wood chips with them. They fix the chips & level the fretboard. The etching is compromised in the process. Birds need to be re etched. Not a project for the financially faint of heart.
