Pre-Factory Paul Reed Smith (PRS) Guitars

I appreciate what you're trying to say, Hans. But you've got it all wrong. PRS hand built everything himself (that's what the star means!) till they moved to a factory in 1996. That's when they started building guitars with CAD/CAM and invented the Heel from Hell. Shortly thereafter is when PRS started making opaque bodies out of Bondo. When they moved into that 1st factory in 1996, that's when the PRSes bound for GC lost all their soul.

I read it from Ed Roman, so it must be true.

Geddy Lee plays guitar? :D

How about this for pre-factory PRS: :)

FFS people… stop calling guitars with a serial number ‘pre-factory’. They aren’t.

It doesn’t make your eBay or Reverb ad look more attractive. It makes you look like a snake oil salesman that (1) doesn’t know what he’s talking about and (2) would say anything to make the sale.

Is “short heel” or “sweet switch era” acceptable for describing older PRS vintages? Asking for a friend ;)
