Phase III tuners

My recently acquired 2011 cu24 has stiff tuners on the low side. I read somewhere to use a dab of big bends nut sauce to lubricate the open gears. Would this be correct ?

I posted the same question in the Ptc section but no responses

I think the tightness is in the tuner button, nut the gears. Try loosening the button screw and then maybe getting a drop of oil in the worm gear.
