Overcoming Apathy

One of the reasons i really enjoy this forum is that the admins have a strict rule about no politics. I left Facebook and other social media sites for that very reason, it became nothing but "whose side are you on?".However there is one facet to my life I do need advice on......

Overcoming apathy..

On the vessel, I just dont bark a command and it happens. On the contrary, I usually have to prepare a mental list of pro's and con's in order to "sell" why cleaning the galley evry night is in our best interest. Of course, as many of you know, its not just at the workplace..Just order a hamburger. I would love to tour the PRS facilities. A place where Im sure that peope are singularly minded and are focused on a great endeavor.

If it was me I would say clean the dam place or swim home! I used to work for a company that liked us managers to make everybody feel good and I'm all for that but when you accept a JOB that JOB has requirments they better dam well get done or you're gone!
