Old Wiring

Unfortunately the old wiring I'm talking about is in the house we just rented, not an amp or guitar! The wall outlets don't have a hole for the ground on my plug. Will this hurt anything with the amp and effects? I guess I just get an adapter plug and call it good?

Wall outlets are fairly easily replaced. A decent electrician can do it quickly and cheaply - and will make sure you're grounded. Better than an adapter.
