Aye, the neck is black. It's absolutely beautiful. The main reason I went with the Sweetwater model, the normal Trampas Green was a bare wood. Edit - I'll post a pic in a few.

wow that satin finish looks great, normally i like the really glassy look a whole lot more, but theres something about the satin that gives it almost a nice worn in and warm look without looking like (imo) a stupidly beat up relic'd guitar
