NGD: CE24 Semi-Hollow charcoal violet (?!) burst

I'm a huge CE24 SH fanatic. I think it's the best guitar that PRS makes, bar none. I've played some Core instruments from different eras, I love my S2 594 Thinline, and the SE Hollowbody II is great. But my Blue Matteo CE24 is my everyday instrument and has been since I got it a year ago. Well, I saved my pennies to get a twin for it, and this one's got a crazy finish.

I had never heard of this finish before but I got it from Casino Guitars in North Carolina. They called it "charcoal violet burst" and it's gorgeous. It's not on the PRS site, but I just bought it because I fell in love with it in the Reverb listing. They messaged me to say it was a limited thing of some sort, and I've seen just a couple others around the internet but none of them had the black satin neck (they had natural like my blue one). Anybody have any more info on these?

At any rate, I love the pickups, I love the feel right out of the box, and I love love love the finish. Hang tag says it was dated 5/13/2021. Not sure if that's when it was completed, but that's my guess.

Those black-satin neck models were definitely some sort of limited run. Dave's (and maybe Ish, too?) seems to have had a few of 'em recently. Definitely not a "normal production" CE24 Semihollow.

When I got my Blue Matteo one I was thinking really hard about Trampas but I have the previous ZM in that color so I went different.

Very nice. I am unloading a few less expensive guitars to lessen my inventory to hopefully get a CE24. My SE Tremonti Custom has enabled me to become a PRS fan boy. Probably won’t be as nice as yours though.

Yes, absolutely. I love satin necks and with gloss finish on bodies. So silky smooth to play yet so flashy and beautiful to admire.
