Just received my silver sky. Wondering if something like this is within spec or if I am being too obsessive.
This doesah i dont think it will show since I dont have enough posts, what counts as a post?
Looks fairly minimal but do what you must my good pal.
Thanks for the replies everyone. This is my first new guitar and I had had really high expectations and am realizing that perhaps literal perfection is not a reasonable expectation.
I’ve never loved the sound and feel of a guitar more and it seems like that should be plenty to overlook a tiny cosmetic flaw that I won’t even see when playing but for some reason it’s a bigger deal in my mind than I’d like it to be.
I’m sure as I play it more and grow attached to it and inevitably add my own dings I’ll laugh about how silly I was being.
You can deal with this in two ways. If the shop has a return policy, you could send it back.
Conversely, contact them, explaining your concerns and see what resolution they offer.
Either way, you can’t lose and the second possible solution may result in a wee Brucey bonus for you. You never know unless you try.
Just a thought from a forum brother.
Congrats on your beautiful new guitar and welcome.
Thank you.
I just emailed them and they have offered to replace it. I have already had one replacement done and at this point am worried about being in an endless loop of replacement lol. One concern I have about a replacement is how I felt the scarf joint when playing on my first one and can't on this one. Is it normal to be able to feel it? I would worry that while maybe I get a new guitar with no flaws, the feel of the neck would not be as good as this one due to the scarf joint.
