I have a 2020 Custom 24 with the new Nitrocellulose-over-acrylic.

I note PRS’s own-brand cleaning kit isn’t recommended for cleaning it (leaves a slight haze, it seems), so what is suitable to keep my guitar looking perfect?

My concern is I haven’t seen a guitar cleaning substance that uses words to the effect of ‘safe for nitrocellulose finishes’ but the PRS accessories website does state it’s own cleaning kit is not suitable for nitrocellulose finishes!

This is tongue in cheek, of course!

I use a dry microfiber cloth on my nitro guitars. Here's a video you can check out.

I use Dunlop 65 and a micro fiber cloth, supposedly it has trace amounts of silicone in it but I've never had an issue with it.

Hi Anil,

Thank you for contacting PRS Guitars. We recommend the PRS care and maintenance kit for our guitars. The products are safe with the new nitro finish used on the 35th Anniversary Customs.

While we don't ship accessories directly to individuals outside of the US, your can order it from the UK distributor at prsguitarseurope.com

But here is a link for reference: https://us.prsaccessories.com/collections/gifts-under-25/products/guitar-care-bundle

Thank you for your continued support of PRS Guitars.
