I finally tracked one down, a Spruce Top Hollowbody I in Gold.
Such a light guitar and the archtop pick-ups sound good with a clean amp, still experimenting with overdrive sounds.
Digging this one!
Hollowbody I owners share your pix and overdrive tips with me please.
Cheers Ya'll,
Korinafan

Beautiful guitar. In some ways I wish I could have tracked down a spruce when I got mine but I’m still happy with maple

That's a dream, thank you for sharing! Bet you can get some nice controlled feedback with this one :D

Controlled Feedback!! yes!!! What a great name for a band!
I am trying to use this hollowbody to get the vibe from
Double Live Gonzo, Uncle Ted, the Intro to Hibernation,
only thing is I have to wait until the wife goes to work to have practice time.

I literally opt out of events that I would like to go to so I can have some time to myself to jam in our (me and my girl) shared space! Very open architecture in our house!! It is, wait till she is out or lock myself in the second bathroom!!! That is not to say I can not play when she is around, she is fine with it, I am fine with it, but I really can't "stretch my legs" with anyone else around when I am trying to learn something or modify it!!! Best of luck securing some "you" time!!!!

You asked to share pics so here's one for you.

I've found the HB Spruce works well with even high levels of gain. My experience has been that the Archtop pickups tend to be on the bright side so I need to adjust the treble or presence down when I plug it in. When the volume and gain get up a bit, the top just comes alive. Very fun to play.

Wow, two beauties! All that glitters is gold, but that silver pearl is awfully sweet too. Spruce is definitely "lively" but it sounds so, em, "sweet".
