The Angela Everwood Band was back in Jim Salamone's Cambridge Sound Studios in Ivyland today. We were mainly tracking guitars. I learned quite a bit over the past few sessions. Mainly about how playing live is different from tracking for an album. Some of the stuff that I worked on that felt like it would be GREAT didn't work out so well here. And some of the things that I wasn't sure of seems to have made the cut for the album. Thanks Jim for guiding us through this process. Thanks to my band mates Angela, Brian, Vincent, and Chris for putting up with my lack of skills until I get sh*t right. We will be back in soon and I will keep you all posted as to our progress.

I took my amp but ended up playing doubled up through an Orange micro dark and a Victoria clone of a Fender Harvard. Sounded "Big"
Caught Angela and Chris noodling around during a break

And a pic dump

The pics are sweet!

When do we get to hear clips of the music?
Working on that. She is all self conscious about it only being scratch vocals on the tracks so far. I would have thought we would be finished by now .. BUT .. just like everything in life we seem to be over time and over budget

You're not alone.

I rework ad tracks until the minute I have to turn them in for postproduction mixing. But I get max, 2-3 days to write and finish a track for client evaluation, and whatever they are at that point is where they stay.

There's something to be said for not overthinking the work, since perfection can never be reached.
