Last Weekend's Gigs With A Double-Shot Of New!

Well, at least new to me on one of the guitars. My 10th Anny S2 594 got here a couple weeks ago. Last Friday I finally took it out once I got the strap for it that I had ordered. I also took out the '94 CE22 that I posted about a little while back, purchased from Brother Evan from here after it didn't work out for him. The cool thing about last weekend? I had never even plugged either guitar in until I had my rig ready at the gig. I had re-strung the CE with my preferred 9.5's and stretched 'em in, and that was it. How did they do? Just like all my PRSi have done-EXCELLENT! After playing the S2 I realized it has slightly heavier gauge strings, which I will rectify shortly, and the pickups aren't as hot as the Dragon 1's in the CE. The S2 also needs just a slight tweak on the truss rod, no biggie. Both will be regulars in the rotation, especially with Mr.P (the P22) out of action for a while.

It was a super fun gig! Crowd was into it from the first note, even though it was 95 degrees and 100% humidity! Good grief at my age it hurts to sweat that much!

Not the same place. This was at a marina we play 4 or 5 times a year north of Knoxville by about 40 miles. Beautiful setting, with permanent covering over the band's space, NOT those portable canopies.

Gotta hand it to you for taking an "untested" axe to a gig, but then... how TF do you test it?
