Just an inquisitive question

Hello brothers

I have currently 2 guitars a 513 AP and a Ted, and the latter has binding on the neck but I don't feel a difference in the width of the fret board, so do they shave few millimeters from the sides to keep the same width as if was unbinded or the extra width is there and we don't feel it do to the awesome playability and feel?

Total width is not affected from the binding. They route out some wood from the sides to make room for the binding.
If you measure the width of the fretboard wood on the Ted you'll see it is less wide than the 513.

Thank you, that was my initial assumption, and I think the same is done to the headstock in PS too.
