I keep seeing solid back color guitars

That black back now has me wondering. Has PRS ever done doghair finishes ala Collings?

On Private Stock they’ve done it.

Honestly it depends on top color to me. If it’s sunburst I prefer translucent woodgrain black cherry or natural mahogany. On the darker colors I prefer solid black like whale blue tops look great with black backs, necks and black headstock. Deep greens look great with natural wood grain in deep greens but also look great with black backs black necks and blackheads stocks. So in a very wordy paragraph basically what I’ve said is it depends on the top stain color.
