I Built A Time Machine To The Baroque.

I was thinking about being a musician in the early-to-mid 17th Century. What would a rockin' jam sound like?

So I wrote one, and recorded it.

It's short, I call it "Going For Baroque."

Don't ask me why I bother doing this; I really have no concept, it's just fun to do!

Wow, nailed that vibe - I could totally see this in a period piece BBC movie (yes, I know that’s redundant) :)

How far can you dial it back in time?

I've always wanted to hear the first rock band. You know, back in our primordial days when a three piece band was one guy who could fart on command, another hitting a rock with a stick, and someone squeezing a parrot :)

I can do everything on the list but fart on command.

But it’s good; one guy can’t hog all the talent. :)

Nice! I kept waiting for Steve Howe or Yngwie to come in and start shredding over it...

Les,

I think you'd fit right in with contemporaries like Mozart or Mendelssohn. Perhaps with a little training, you could extend your playing endurance for larger works?

I knew there was interesting music the moment u saw the thread title!
