I don't know what historic makeovers does but the PTC will do quite a bit. They won't do anything that would alter the shape of the guitar in any way. They are pretty responsive to email communication if you have something in mind.

Also, IIRC as far as refinishing goes - there are colors that are only available on Private Stock, so if you have a Core and want it refinished in Dragon's Breath for example, they won't do it. Only colors that are offered for the model you have

The PTC has stopped a few services, such as routing for a Floyd Rose retrofit. They’ve never done relic or historic makeover work, as far as I know. They used to have a service/price list on the website. It’s best to email customer service for current pricing and services.

The PTC works on guitars to make them look good as new... not old and worn.

i'm definitely not wanting a relic. the historic makeovers reference was more about the work they do more than looking for my guitar to be abused lol
