I'm in the market for a compressor. Specifically, a compressor that works well with both my guitars and basses.
In theory compressors should always work for basses and guitars since compressing wouldn't really be impacted by frequency. But in reality a lot of compressors have additional bells and whistles that do impact or get impacted by frequency which makes them lean towards guitar or bass.
Given the simplicity of the Mary Cries and the fact it is an analog compressor, I see no reason it wouldn't sound awesome on both. But I'd really love to hear it. None of our local guitar stores are getting the pedals in so far so I can't really try it.
Has anyone tried it with a bass? Even better, recorded it? I'm super curious.
