The high E on my PRS SE singlecut with wraparound tailpiece bridge was emitting a "Sitar" sound. Traced it to the slack in post thread and bridge rocking ever so slightly in the posts. The bridge would lean forward under string tension making the takeoff point of high E string slightly compromised. Using the wire core from a wound string to make a "Shim" I rocked the bridge back and inserted the short piece of string wire, under the back of the trebel post Just enough tilt back to cure the Sitar effect. Clean notes now. Unless I take the whole tailpiece off it'll stay in there. The cure!
