DGT Too Bright

Voice of experience, Viper. One of my guitars is a Guild A150 Savoy jazz guitar and the 6th string was way too boomy and unbalanced. The GE7 allowed me to balance up the sound.

Don't know anything about DGTs. But I find CEs too bright. Custom 24s are darker/bassier. And McCarty 594s...which I thought DGTs were similar to.

My first PRS was a SE standard. I didn't care for the pickups so I replaced them. I purchased a SE DGT the other day and I was worried about the pickups. After plugging the guitar in I was very happy with the sound. The roll off works fine along with the push/pull tone pot.

change your amp setting, roll the guitar treble off, and most importantly, put away the strats and teles and focus on the dgt goodness.
