I've shared earlier that my lovely wife decided to get me a special guitar for my 50th Birthday. Coincidentally my local guitar store recently found a NOS PRS West St Limited that was kept in their storeroom since 2008. Though the case smells a little musky, the guitar was in brand new condition despite some tarnishing of the brass hardware.

They also informed me yesterday (which was a day after my birthday) that the only allotted Silversky Dead Spec just arrived at that store! I was able to reserve this piece when the news broke out in November last year.

So ladies and gentlemen, two very special PRS found their way into my collection since this month of May:

Instead of the usual full guitar photos, here's some macro shots of the lovely Dead Spec.

Damn dude. Gonna be hard to outdo that 2x NGD. They’re both gorgeous. Enjoy them and Happy Birthday/NGD to you!

The Dead Spec surprised me on the build. Definitely more attention paid than a regular production silver sky. Also noticed that the neck is slightly thicker and rounder shoulders. We compared with a regular silver sky at the shop.
