The top picture is all wrong. You have the salt in a pepper pot. What if you have a blind person over to lunch?

Anyway, I choose salt and pepper (In bespoke pots).

Well, I know nothing about the ladies in the OP, so can't comment on that.

But -- After quite a few years of home cooking, I've finally learned how judicious use of salt and pepper really punches up all the other flavors in a dish. Even those fireballs in the picture you posted.

That's the funny thing. The salt and pepper shakers on the table just don't do that much. Use coarse salt and fresh ground pepper as you're cooking, though, and they are amazingly powerful.
