It might fit but why go that route you can get a PRS Multi fit B stock for the same money.
If I had a Private stock ME1 and I was trying to save the PS case I would get a really flight case like the ones MaPete uses.

I have an SKB and they look/feel very sturdy and not back-breakingly heavy.

You could take your pride and joy out in this and be pretty confident that it wouldn’t come to any harm!

Are you gigging the guitar?
Is the case you refer to as ragged the original PS case?

I doubt I’d put my Private Stock guitars in cases that aren’t fitted. Even if you buy the base-level PRS hard case, it’s form fitted to the guitar.

Not that I want to tell anyone else what to do. Just sayin’.

No, I sold that case....it was the felt on it that I could never take it out in the rain that decided that for me. The one I have is a plain old black PRS multi fit case. And no I do not gig it, but I DO use it every sunday in and out of my car to go to church and play it.
