Why is the SE CE 24 so cheap?

What I'm wondering is why is the SE CE 24 so much cheaper than the Custom 24, is a bolt on neck so much cheaper to manufacture?

It's one of the best bargains in the market...crossing my fingers for some kind of 22 fret version maybe with a hardtail?? Til then I'm diggin my SAS!

Are you comparing it to an SE Custom 24 or core Custom 24?

An SE Custom 24 is about $150 more than a SE CE 24...

My guess is, more time and material into the paint on the neck.

I suspect labor costs are the limiting factor, and getting a snug joint fit takes more of that than a Good Enough™ neck pocket screwed to a neck.
