What's the 2014+ Bird Inlay Material(s)?

So what's the material in these inlays?
Post 2014 models. Inlay MODCAT code 6

I assume the inside is abalone?
Outside is what? Bone? Ivoroid?

Couldn't find any posts on this so far...

I have the same looking birds on my 2012 P22. Not sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same stuff that my 2009 305 has. If I'm not mistaken it's some kind of crushed rock like material that is bound with resin or something. Hopefully someone with more insight will chime in.
Looks great to me anyway.

My 2017 P22 has the same thing...it is mother of "counter top" ( Corian I think).... it is a synthetic material and it is used as the complete inlay on the S2 series.

The "abalone" is probably "abalam", abalone bits fused and laminated into a big, thin sheet. And Corian rings a bell with me, too.
