Have a feeling it was more Mayer preference than critics. If it were critics they would have flatten that radius that is a no go for many guitarists use to most fenders, prs, Gibson, etc.

Yep, John wants to keep the SS evolving. Probably the reason the SS was used on the 2021 Dead & Co tour more than his 'bucker equipped 594.Let's see what he uses on his 2022 solo tour in a few weeks. I'm betting the Roxy Pink is prominent.

I have an 18 and a 19 , I have been looking at a maple board one for me its more about the change in pickups that I am worried about because the ones I have are pretty much perfect for me.

What changes did they make to the Silver Sky. The one I know is the pickups now have slightly less treble. But it seems the new ones have larger frets?
