If it’ll make some of you feel better about me desecrating a flamey top with rattle can pink paint on mine, this was black and had a plain top under the paint.

Yep.
It seems like PRS painted a lot of the singlecuts black with flame maple top. I’m not sure if it was not matching tops and they are just trying to give the customer a better option than just basic maple etc. Idk could be sprayers choice too doubtful but possible

I have to admit it ticks most of the boxes for me…..right color, roasted flamey maple neck, big frets, sounds killer……but it has one thing wrong for me and that is a huge neck. I actually drank the koolaid you guys sell a few years ago and grabbed a Santana and loved it except for the massive neck. I can’t even get on with the 594 neck carve which is too bad because there a some gorgeous pink ones on reverb.
