Should I put a 513/509 double pickup in my DC3?

I have a DC3, and would play it more if I had a humbucker sound in the bridge position. What I would basically like to turn it into, is an HSS configuration of the 509, with 1 mini-toggle instead of 2 in the HSH config that the 509 has. I am happy to route the body if needed and realize I will need a custom pickguard made, but really just can't get into the single-only option in the bridge, and as such, just not playing it as much as my other guitars.

I’m sure it can be done. It might be cheaper to sell and get a Fiore to get the HSS in a similar guitar shape. I’m not sure if you can get another DC3 pickup, but I haven’t seen on recently. Best of luck either way!

I hadn't heard of the Fiore, thanks... but with that said, I'm not big on signature models.
The only one I have ever owned was an EJ, because, well... EJ lol.

I did this to a DC3/NF3 , 59/09s and a vintage rails in the center it was a fun mod , if I did it again I would go with 57/08s or McCartys , something darker for the buckers.

yes the routes are very tight so we routed the smallest amount we could
