Folks need the council's advice
I have chanced upon a early pre lawsuit singlecut locally whose finish has become completely clouded.
It was orange ro reddish to begin with but now is almost completely white.
Other than the cloudy finish and slightly oxidised hardware, the guitar is fine.
I can get it for about 850 US and part of me says I should get it and make it a project guitar (what that project is i need to determine:))

Should I do it?

I say yes. $850 is cheap enough to roll the dice and be brave enough to give it a makeover, there’s a delicious feeling of subversiveness that comes with f@cking up a real PRS. Its like buying a new iPhone just to smash, or having a Ferrari on blocks in your front yard... it’s performance art.

Definitely. Those single cuts sound heavy. What would be cool is something rustic. wood grain with a torched effect?

I don't know how you get poly to go completely cloudy, but the price is very good. At that price you can get the PTC to give you a new finish and still be in the right price range.

If you don't do it send me the link and I will.;)

Seems to be a worryingly frequent occurrence with PRS..
