So lately I've noticed that I can feel the inlays on my SE Hollowbody. Looking closely, it appears the inlays up to the 12th fret are slightly raised from the fretboard. I honestly don't know if this is new development or if its been that way since I got it and I'm just now noticing. I pressed down on them and they don't appear to go back down so I don't think they've come loose.

I've seen some videos where a razor blade is used to scrap an inlay so that it is flush with the fretboard. I'm thinking about trying that. Anybody else notice this or have any suggestions?

Not the entirely the same but we just did this on some motorcycle fork tubes that had raised flaws from rocks that were catching on the fork seal. To my surprise it worked great! Why not skin the birds?
