Was reading in someone else's post about their concern for nitro finishes and leather guitar straps causing finish issues.

What type of finish does the SE HBII Piezo have? Will attaching a suede strap to the end button and laying it over the upper bout horn pose a finish issue over time?

Thanks for your help in advance.

EDIT:

Just checked the PRS 2020 Pricing Catalog, which details what type of finishes are built into each guitar model...it seems that most all Satin finishes are nitrocellulose, but other finishes that are not vintage are polyurethane (or derivatives thereof).

Thanks just the same, was able to locate this with a little research...

Thanks for that. Likely unaffected by leather or suede guitar straps.

I’d say definitely unaffected by leather or suede. Here’s the actual reply from PRS:

Hi Joe,
Thanks for writing. The finish on your new SE Hollowbody is acrylic urethane, so it will not react with leather, vinyl, or rubber.
