I should be practicing right now.
I'm dabbling in the market/considering a SAS with the 3-way toggle & push/pull tone pot. I understand how the push/pull pot brings in the middle vintage-rail pickup, however I'm confused a bit by which HB also gets tapped in the process:
Moore's web page, here, shows that for the ~roughly pre-2003 models, pulling up on the Tone knob splits the neck pickup (while adding in the middle, too). But then, for the ~post-2003 models, it shows the Tone knob splitting the treble pickup. Am I reading that right?
Now, to make things confusing... I'm looking specifically at a 2005 guitar whose paperwork says that the push/pull splits the neck pickup. Can anyone explain or elaborate on this functionality?
