Looking at upgrading the stoptail bridge on my 2007 SE Custom 22. I'd like something that locks so that it doesn't fall off when changing strings. Any suggestions on what brand and model?
Just use some blue painters tape. Put a piece on the top of each post and wrap it on both sides of the bridge.
That will keep the bridge in place until you get a few strings on and can remove the tape.
You could also change a couple strings at a time so the neck tension also remains. Like 1 and 4, then 2 and 5, then 3 and 6.
Thanks. Great solutions.
I'll still probably upgrade the bridge. Any suggestions on brands and types?
Thanks, yes I have his hardware on my SE cu24! Great gear. Pricey, but you get what you pay forTwo words...John & Mann! He makes an adjustable stoptail bridge. Just google Mann Made PRS adgustable stoptail bridge. He makes that and a few other goodies for the SE's.
