Really strange bridge pick-up placement

Can anyone shed some wisdom on this oddity?

I believe the "excellent description" was sarcastic. I think what you are seeing is normal pickup placement, but a larger scale length and they moved the controls farther apart as well. The body is elongated to accommodate it. Might be a 27 inch scale length.

could be different scael length plus I believe the camera has distorted the whole instrument somewhat

Since it's an employee guitar, anything could be happening. It might be exactly what it looks like.

Could it be that the bridge is placed in standard position but the bridge pickup is scooted up to the position it would be on a Cu24?
