PRS P22 pick up selection problem

HI Guys,

First post!
Alas its because I need help..
On my P22, when trying to select the piezo pick up only by itself, so switch in the up position, I get no output. Yes Im plugged into the right input.
However, I can get piezo output mixed with mag pick ups with the switch in the middle position.
So it dosent seem the piezo itself is the problem ( I hope), but maybe its a switching issue? What could it possibly be??
I had a look inside for a broken wire etc, but couldnt see anything obvious. It was working fine one day, next time I tried it, no output.

There is a position where the piezo does not work try turning the mix ( third knob ) also the Vol and Mix knob work together.
I put pickups in a P24 the other day and the switching took a bit to figure out.
and check the battery
