PRS G&B 7 String Pickup Wiring.

Hey friends!

I ordered a set of PRS 7 string pickups for my ESP LTD Seven string. When they arrived they were not labeled in terms of which is neck or bridge, however the wire sleeves are different. One has a grey sleeve and the other a black.

When I installed a Tremonti bridge pickup in my SE I remember it having a grey sleeve I think, so I feel the 7 string pickup I have with the grey sleeve would be the bridge as well but would like to find out before wiring it up as it seems pickup wiring color can change based on the weather it seems.

The VB has the gray wire sheath.

The sets that I've had were reverse polarity from each other. The VB used black as hot and the HFS used red as hot.

The VB has the gray wire sheath.

E.g. the neck is the gray one.

If you have a multimeter, you can doublecheck - the bridge pickup will have a higher DC resistance.
