I don’t really check the Blog section on the PRS site enough, but I followed a link for something else and got sucked into this instead:

So good! Even with Mason.

Paul goes through a selection of some of his most iconic work, talks about the gear, plays the parts (he remembers),has a pile of interesting stories, talks technique, and even kinda puts Mason in check.

My favorite part about it is him talking about which parts were who on the Daft Punk album with Nile (which I kinda had already guessed), and then broke down the parts.

It was great, because I’ve been absolutely obsessed with all the guitar parts on Give Life Back To Music since the day it was released, and it made me feel so much better about myself finding out that I don’t totally suck, and that the little ticky rhythm parts were individual harmony lines, and not fragmented chords that I couldn’t figure out.

Anyway, it’s kinda long but worth a watch.

must be nice to get nile and pj and i guess basically any guitartist you want at that point. i'd sure love to hear those two on a justice record, probably not gonna happen.
