NGD project retired road warrior 1994 ce24

With the arrival of my wee baby son I was happily delayed from trying her out.

I needed a drop-c guitar and she fit the bill. I love ce24's, it was a steal
She ain't a looker but she sounds great!

Big plans for her when I can save the money for PTC to work their magic but just now ill play the hell out her. After seeing a certain guitar on here I had an idea!

Here she is battered and bruised

She's found a good home

Anyone got a good name for her?

Nice score! I'll pick up an Alder bodied CE one of these days... (hey Sergio?)

No idea of a name sorry... Is that trem block steel or brass? It looks silver and not yellow in that pic? Also first thing I would do is screw in the grub screw for the trem arm before it falls out and you lose it forever!

Thanks

I'm really pleased with it

I forgot to wind it in before the pictures.

Yeah it looks steel to me, I will get the pickup out for the modcat, clean her up and give her a check over tomorrow \m/

The original bridges were once piece of brass and the whole thing was nickel plated.

Nice guitar. Bet it's a tone monster!

It's a 94

Got some more pictures
Anyone know what the scribbles are? I guess it's wide thin

So far I'm loving it

I can't find a magnet to try it. It's not stamped anywhere on it and its a 2 piece.
Going to tweak the setup later the trem is solid down on the finish

Nice!! Looks beautiful as it is. I would clean the frets and setup the trem properly and be done with it...
Also my guess is that the WT RF in the bridge pickup cavity are wide thin rosewood fretboard.
Modcats started much later IIRC.

Twins Slowro? Sorta...this one is a 1991, I got lucky again am 3 for 3 with the MilComs :)

After playing her for a week, I think the all-alder CE is my best sounding one of the three, a little less bite but smoother and amazing sustain. Play the crap out of her!

Very interesting for a block nerd as me :).Can it be the aluminium block they experimented with for a short period in 92-93?I read that in the PRS book.

That is a beauty

Mine will return to her former glory

She is turning up nice with a clean up and some TLC. She has had a hard life.

Apart from some naps and baby time I haven't put her down

I will try find a file I am interested in the block to find out what it is

File it - if's goldy coloured, it's Brass.
If not >
Scratch it - if it's very soft and scratches with something like a key, it's Aluminium
If not >
Try something magnetic on it (even a fridge magnet) - if it sticks, it's got Iron in there, it's Steel

:)

Didn't even think to try an Aluminium block, I've only got a week left here at my current work, I could have made one. I've even got some 32mm billet next to my desk for another project. Darn.

What are you looking for it a name? Female, right? She got some cool earth tones happening... How about Bianca? Or Eartha? Non-gender specific... Tobaccy! :girl:
