Never thought I would get a Tele, but found a nice roasted one piece Tele neck and started a project from it. I also never had an ash guitar before, so I assembled this one.
Basic specs are:
9.5" radius,
Jumbo frets,
Pearl dots,
Gotoh locking tuners,
Ash body with a few layers of nitro and a clear pickguard,
Gotoh bridge with brass compensated saddles.
Pickups are a Dimarzio Chopper T in the bridge and a Twang King in the neck.
So basically this isn't a traditional Tele, but a humbucker bridge / single coil neck guitar.
Oh and it is wired with a 5-way wiring diagram from Bill Lawrence.

Nice! I like the clear pickguard on it! It showcases the nice wood grain.

I had the same pickups configuration when I had my tele.

I'd like to have a Kotzen tele some day.

Actually I realized while building it that I didn't have a stoptail guitar. It is really easy to drop D the Tele and then tune back to normal.

Nicely done! Everyone should have at least one proper Tele...
I'm lucky enough to own an RK Tele. It's worth every penny... and the neck is FAT! I love it!
I used the same pup's on my MM AL Tele conversion... they rock!

Yeap, I was happily surprised by the pickups. I was initially looking for a Tone Zone (which I know and trust), but the Chopper just rocks!!

Yes I saw that on your Tele, but as it is with the 1:16 ratio Gotoh tuners it is very easy to downtune anyway.
Especially when you compare it with downtuning trem guitars in the past... ;)
