Has anyone found a molded case from either Gator or SKB that fits a McCarty 594SC? My sales rep at Sweetwater told me this one is a fit, but a rep at GC told me it's not. I recently bought a Mono vertigo for it, but I'm also thinking of a hard case. Not a fan of the heavy wood case it came with. Appreciate any feedback or experience anyone has had with this. Thanks

I'd trust the guy at Sweetwater more than the guy at GC. Unless you happen to live in an area that has a "good" GC. One way to find out; order the one from Sweetwater. You can always send it back!
This.

Plus, the Gator case is meant for a Les Paul. The SC594 is about as close to a LP as one can get, I believe, overall dimensionally.

I would think if the inside is softer than the old brown Les Paul cases then it should fit. I just took my Ted 245 and tried to put it into the Les Paul brown 80's case and the case material under the pink fuzzy is harder .... the Ted body won't fit ... it was close, well, I suppose if I pushed real hard it might but I didn't want to try.

No, but I have a better answer (albeit more expensive). PRS makes one that fits.

This (was) my Private Stock McCarty SC 594 sitting in a PRS Singlecut Hollowbody case. Didn't like using the PS rectangular case - doesn't fit in a guitar stand. So I bought this for it. Fits like a glove. Dig it.

SC594 in an aftermarket LP case. Not a perfect fit, but certainly workable.

How is the neck angle? Does the neck lay flat on the support, or is it tilted up at the headstock? I’m not as concerned with the body shape as I am with the neck angle.
