Hey,

Need some advice here.
I bought this Mark Holcomb SE guitar a few weeks ago from the local shop. Its a killer guitar, feels super nice and sounds pretty good too. I only just noticed that the bridge pickup poles don't align with the strings and its kinda aesthetically very unpleasing to me. Is this something that would affect the sound quality? Im not sure weather to take in back to the shop and see if they could do anything to fix it. What would you do?

I put a Vineham humbucker on my MIM Strat, and have the same thing, in my 1st and 2nd strings, which is probably due to MIM metric spacing vs MIA imperial spacing. The guitar sounds great. The humbucker is a huge improvement, despite the spacing difference

It's probably because there are two fairly standard sizes of humbuckers with slightly different spacing between the poles. Most PRS SE's have the wider spacing which SD calls trembucker rather than a standard humbucker.

The Trembucker version of Seymour Duncan pickups is about 2-3mm wider string spacing. Both your SD pickups are regular humbuckers when to look roughly right you need a trembucker for your bridge pickup.

Pic from the thread I pasted above. Though they didn't have an orthographic camera so perspective kind of ruins the accuracy of the photos.
